City became concerned about Homeland
Security, SWA became involved in
conducting a comprehensive security and
hazard vulnerability assessment that
included utilities, law enforcement,
fire service, EMS, municipal court,
county LEPC, communications, water
distribution, sewers and sanitation, and
community hospitals. |

Department of Transportation, IL.-
When job
related injuries skyrocketed and workers
compensation claims went through the
roof, IDOT turned to SWA for help in
managing their safety program. SWA
custom designed a training program for
IDOT supervisors, and trained them on
managing and investigating job related
injuries.

The Rhode
Island Disaster Initiative, RI-
The State of Rhode Island conducted a
statewide assessment to determine the
level of readiness for public safety
agencies and healthcare providers to
respond to incidents and disasters
throughout the state. SWA had the
opportunity to join in this project by
conducting security assessments and
readiness assessments of hospitals and
EMS agencies throughout the state. |
